Timothy, the cat glued to highway, has died

After Pepper, the dog who was thrown off a bridge, died from its injuries... another sad occurrence now follows...

Timothy, the 7-month old orange tabby, who was rescued after being glued by the paws and nose to the edge of a Minnesota highway I-90, has died...

After being rescued by an alert and kind passer-by, Timothy survived for about a week. But sadly, having lost some of its paw pads, skin, and claws during the rescue, Timothy died from its injuries around Christmas.

This really tears me up inside. I have 5 cats at home, and they are such adorable creatures that, I just cannot understand why someone find it amusing enough to want to commit such an extremely cruel and barbaric act.

I hope the Minnesota government will do something about this atrocity. There is a reward put out for more information on the perpetrator, but is anyone coming forward? I believe it will take more than a few minutes to glue a living cat onto the tarmac. Maybe it was sedated. But surely, some people driving by must have seen it?

If anyone has any information, please come forward to the authorities. Such mindless acts of animal cruelty has to end.

Rest in peace, Timothy. Hope you are running free in a better world now.
