It has been established that these modern commercial pet foods include high levels of chemicals, pesticides, preservatives, food coloring agents and high amounts of sugar, salt and overcooked oils, all of which are extremely harmful for dog health. Some also contain heavy metals, fats, mold and meat that have been barred from human use. These ingredients interfere with the metabolism of their body, do not provide any nutrition and may also cause various dog illnesses and dog health problems. The one solution to this is to feed pet dogs with homemade dog food that are safe and nutritious.

Heat some olive oil in a pot and drop in the finely chopped meat pieces. Allow it to cook well. Once the meat is done, drop in the grains, add some water and let it cook well for some time. Finally, add the vegetables and cook until everything is done up well. Do not overcook the vegetable and serve warm.

Poochy Casserole

Method
Boil the chopped chicken and the mixed vegetables. In a separate cooker, cook the brown rice. Then, mix all the ingredients and mash well. Stir well and serve when t reaches room temperature.

Fish Treat

Method
In a bowl, add the egg and beat well. To this add the salmon and cornmeal, mix and stir well. Make small patties from the mixture and fry in a little canola oil. Meanwhile, boil the vegetables well. Once the patties is done, mash it and add it to the boiled vegetable. Serve with a coating of peanut butter.

Lamb Treat

Method
Cook the ground lamb well and add to it the cooked white rice and cooked brown rice. Mix and stir well and then add the kale, carrots and green beans to this. Once mixed well, add the yogurt or skimmed milk and stir well. Serve when at room temperature and store the remaining in zip lock bags in the refrigerator.

Meatball Treats

Method
In a bowl, beat the egg well until it turns fluffy. To this, add the whole wheat flour, oatmeal and meat broth and stir well into a mixture.Roll the dough into small balls and bake for around three minutes. Serve when it cools down.
