Organic dog food has not always been easy to find. And when you located a brand, often it was an extremely small company whose availability was problematic. That was my first experience before ending up on the doorstep of Castor and Pollux Petworks. Enter Organix and their full line of organic pet foods. You can now find them in PetSmart, Petco, and many smaller boutique stores across the country and throughout the world. Pet owners have spoken and Castor and Pollux has listened.
The Castor and Pollux line of Organix foods continues to grow. They now offer varieties including Original Adult, Puppy, Weight Management, Grain-free, and Senior. And their latest release, a Small Breed version with tiny kibble to suit your pocket pup, will likely have many dog owners eager to give this new version a try.
In conjunction with this new release, Castor and Pollux has introduced a new, more sustainable bag, the most often recycled HDPE or #2 plastic. With more facilities and municipalities accepting this type of recyclable plastic, Castor and Pollux is proud to offer their food in this more Eco-friendly packaging, and just in time for Earth Day.
Excess weight is becoming a problem for many of our dogs, as our lifestyle includes less activity and more treats. I'll be exploring some of these habits and tips for changing them in upcoming posts. Watch for my new series on weight management for your pup. Not only will it include a giveaway starting today, but I'll also be covering some of the things you can do on your own to enhance the success of your weight loss program for your paunchy pup.
