A 21 Ft Long Crocodile Caught in the Philippines, the World’s Largest Verified Crocodile Ever
Agusan Del Norte, Philippines. Just recently, the largest crocodile ever in the world was caught in a village in the province of Agusan Del Norte in Mindanao, Southern Philippines. This gigantic creature caught the attention of the village people when it attacked a young carabao or water buffalo. This crocodilian was identified to be a Saltwater Crocodile and according to authority its verified measurement is 21 ft or 6.4 meters in length. Previously, the longest crocodile ever measured snout-to-tail and verified was the skin of a dead crocodile, which was 6.1 meters (20 ft) long. All other claims were unverified.

This crocodile species is also known as Estuarine or Indo-Pacific Crocodile. Its scientific name is Crocodylus porosus and is the largest of all living reptiles. It can be found in the Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries including the eastern coast of India and Northern Australia.

This animal is now under the custody of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources or DENR. Salt Crocodiles are considered endangered species. Estuarine Crocodiles are capable of taking nearly any animal that enters its territory, either in the water or on dry land. They are known also to attack humans.
